Bach lives his life with honesty and without restraints, happy to be known as sexy as all hell, unapologetic asshole.
When he drinks, he drinks hard.
When he wants a woman, he makes sure she knows it.
When he opens his mouth, it’s either to piss someone off or to turn someone on.
You can normally find him with one hand on a bottle and one hand on a woman, trying to forget his past.
Harley Evans is ta twenty-one-year-old year old college student. She’s a good girl who fell hard for Dylan, who’d promised her forever. But Dylan, Bach’s best buddy, lied.
He enlisted in the Army, crushing Harley with equal parts anger and sadness. She’d already lost her father to that choice. Heartbroken, she falls back into depression.
Stuck in Crystal Gulf all summer with little to do, Harley needs a distraction. Enter Bach, sexy as f*#ck distraction, ready and willing.
Dylan’s not all bad though. Before he left, he asked Bach to watch out for Harley, knowing she’d never go for a guy like Bach. She’s too good for him. Too good for anyone.
But Dylan was wrong. He never should have left them together. Bach is there to pick up the pieces Dylan left behind. Soon pieces aren’t enough. He wants more, needs more Harley.
DESTROY ME is dark, sexy, heartbreaking, and intoxicating.

When I lean in to kiss him he moves his face so my lips land on his cheek. I kiss it, sliding my lips over his stubble. He smells so different than Dylan. Like sweat and sadness and desire. It’s musky and intoxicating. If desire had a smell it would smell like Bach. Wanting something you know you shouldn’t want. And wanting it more because you know deep down that want is going to break you apart. The desire is new and overwhelming, rushing over me like a wildfire. I am swept up in it.
The sound of his voice makes heat erupt between my legs. I urge closer to him. “Please, Bach.”
He groans. His hands tighten around my waist and his eyes fill with something dark and bad. He wants me too. But then again this is Bach. His cut off age is ninety. He doesn’t want to touch me. The want I see could be wishful thinking. He wants to put me in a display case. I’m really the only one who wants anything right now.
I brace my hands on either side of his head and kiss his cheek again, rubbing them over his strong jaw. “Break them.”
Rating: 5/5 Stars!!!!!
Destroy Me is an emotional roller coaster ride of epic proportions. I went through the ringer reading this book. Praise for Shana Vanterpool!!!
Bach Bachman is as messed up as his name. His childhood haunts him, literally. He gets high and stays high to keep the demons at bay. He sleeps with anyone and only loves one other person besides himself, his best friend Dylan.
Harley is a good girl. She lost her beloved father to the war, but had her boyfriend, Dylan, to help her through her pain. She loves Dylan, until one day, he tells her he’s enlisted and he’s leaving the next day. She feels betrayed and alone. Her college roommate is gone for the summer and her family drives her crazy.
Dylan has secrets that involve his reason for enlisting, jail and possibly a secret girlfriend. He asks Bach to watch over Harley for the summer. None of them can predict what happens next.
The relationship development between Bach and Harley is a true enemies-to-lovers masterpiece. Bach is more than messed up. The things he does are shockingly immature, but underneath all the immaturity and self-loathing is a truly, passionate man looking for redemption and love. Harley is Bach’s redemption and when these two are together, sparks fly.
There isn’t one character in this book I didn’t love, even if I wasn’t meant to. I honestly haven’t read a book with more love put into all the characters. Vanterpool writes such passion that her characters pop off the page and beg you to pay attention.
This is a definite buy/must read book full of angst, love, flaming hot sex and a super satisfying HEA.
