Synopsis:

Sela Halstead lost her innocence in a way that no sixteen-year-old should ever have to endure. She’s spent years trying to forget that night even while wondering about the identities of the monsters who brutalized her—until a telltale tattoo flashes across Sela’s TV screen. The incriminating ink belongs to Jonathon Townsend, the millionaire founder of The Sugar Bowl, a website that matches rich older men with impressionable young women. Obsessed with revenge, Sela infiltrates Townsend’s world, only to come face-to-face with a tantalizing complication: Beckett North, his charismatic business partner.

The tech mastermind behind The Sugar Bowl, Beck always gets what he wants, in business and in bed. And yet, for a man who’s done every dirty thing imaginable, there’s something about the naïve, fresh-faced Sela that sparks his hottest fantasies. Because with her, it’s not just about sex. Beck opens up to her in ways he never has with other girls. So why does he get the feeling that she’s hiding something? In a world of pleasure and power, the shocking truth could turn them against each other—or bind them forever.

Note: Sugar Daddy ends on a cliffhanger. Sela and Beck’s story continues in Sugar Rush andSugar Free!

My Review:

Rating:  four and half stars

Cliffhanger alert!

And oh what a cliffhanger it is!

I generally hate cliffhangers, but I can honestly say this one was anecessity and has left me salivating for the next book.  Like, August can’t come fast enough.

Another warning:  There are triggers (rape) discussed in this book, so be aware and warned.

Okay, now to the good stuff…

All Sela has on her mind is revenge…of the murder kind.  Sela was assaulted as a teenager by a group of college boys who drugged and raped her.  She unexpectedly discovers the identity of one of her rapists and she is hell bent on revenge against this man, Johnathon Townsend, the co-owner and CEO of a successful but unique dating company.  Sela sets a plan in motion to get her revenge but she doesn’t count on Beck North, the other owner of the dating company.

I kind of have a little girl crush on Sela.  She is broken, but still manages to pull her big girl panties up and put a plan in motion (even if it does involve murder and that is wrong…very wrong).  Beck is another, hot and sexy Bennett hero with a heart.

I really liked the book.  I was dying at the end with the perfect little cliffhanger Bennett left us with.  It was a little clinical at times, but I that is just Sawyer Bennett’s writing style.  It bothers me some, but I always enjoy the content and storylines, so the style I can forgive.

I highly recommend this book if you like romantic suspense, steamy goodness, and great characters.
