Not just back in town, but living in the flat right beneath mine. And he looks good enough to eat, which is just one more reason to stay away from him.
But I can’t resist.
The sex is incredible (pretty sure we’ve shaken the house right off its foundation), but he can’t fool me—not this time. A degree in marketing and five years in advertising have taught me that “true love” is a fairy tale used to sell lipstick, diamonds, and perfume. It doesn’t exist.
He thinks I’m wrong, and he wants to prove it.
I think he’s crazy, so I dare him to try.
It might be the biggest mistake of my life.
4/5 sexy stars!
For a while now, I’ve been hearing how great Quinn is. I completely, one-hundred percent agree. Quinn=swoon!
Jamie doesn’t believe in love. Especially after declaring her love to Quinn at 17 and his response was to laugh in her face. Harsh right? Flash forward 10 years and Quinn, who Jamie hasn’t seen since that night, is back and living in the apartment below her. She sees him and all the old feelings surface, all but one…love. He’s hot, sexy, funny, and he makes her crazy. They reconnect and he tells her he can get her to believe in love. The more time they spend together, the more they have feelings for each other. Quinn loves Jamie. Jamie desires Quinn, but love? No. Not Jamie. Except she does, but she is too worried about getting hurt, so when they get too close, she pushes him away. Some time apart gives her pause to rethink her thoughts on love.
I have to say, Quinn may be the most level-headed hero I’ve ever read. He’s emotional but pragmatic. Sexy but smart. I kind of love him.
This is a great book. It has all the making of a great romance – angst, feels, sexy times. In true Melanie Harlow form, she gives you a hero you can’t help but love and a heroine who just needs that little push.
