BLURB:

The first time I met Evie Harper, she threw a cream pie at my face. I actually hadn’t met her, just saw her. It was more like she hated everything I stood for and showed me her opinion with an airborne cream pie. Yes, she smacked me front and center on my face. The second time I saw Evie, I didn’t realize she was the cream-pie-throwing bandit, and she took my breath away in a flowing red gown at a gala.

Of course I couldn’t resist her looks, so I asked her to dance. She called me a schmuck and stalked off.

My own Cinderella ran away from me. I shouldn’t have chased her down. We were all wrong for each other. But her fire red hair and feisty personality reeled me in, and I was hooked. Chicago’s most renowned playboy was finally falling head over loafers. At least it felt that way because she was like no other woman I’d met before . . . Evie was special . . .

Problem was I had trust issues when it came to women. Freud would’ve probably said it was my mother’s doing. Somehow Evie made me believe in her . . . trust her . . .

Big damn mistake!

One I hope I won’t live to regret . . .

But then again how could someone so wrong for me turn out to be so damn perfect?

Young couple in love

What makes you happy?

That was the question Emery Reed asked me the day we met, and I couldn’t give him a single answer. I could have said my dog, or my books, or yoga — but I just stared.

And then, I got in his car.

It was crazy to take a road trip with a stranger, but after years of standing still, he was my one-way ticket to a new life, and I wasn’t going to miss it.

We shared the same space, the same car, the same hotel room — and still, we were strangers.

One day we’d be laughing, the next, we wouldn’t speak. Emery was surrounded by impenetrable walls, but I wanted in.

Discovering his journal changed everything.

I read his thoughts, words not meant for anyone’s eyes, and the more I learned about him, the harder I fell. It turned out nothing made Emery Reed happy, and I wanted to change that.

I earned his trust by violating his privacy, and as wrong as it was, it worked — until one entry revealed a darkness I never knew existed, a timer I never knew was ticking.

Suddenly, what made me happy was saving Emery from himself. I just didn’t know if I could.

Read an excerpt from Meghan Quinn’s The Other Brother ~ coming 11/2/2017!

I got the call. The dreaded call every child fears. My dad wasn’t well, and the man who had always been my everything needed me.

There was only one thing to do; pack up and head back to my hometown. I had finally made my dream life in the city with the great job and loving boyfriend. But was there really a choice not to go?

I found a wonderful job, a quaint house to rent, my boyfriend was working on joining me in Binghamton, and my favorite pizza place was only miles away. Life was good.

Until I met my neighbor.

It’s been three years since I’d seen Aaron Walters, and my God is he all kinds of sexy gorgeous. Figures. He was supposed to be my forever, the man I grew old with, but he had different plans. How can a man who ripped my heart apart still trip me up? How can he make me still want him now more than ever?

I’m tempted, I’m drawn toward him, I’m completely and utterly unaware that I’m dating his biological brother.

Now two men own my heart. The question is, which brother will I choose?

Right on time, I’m impressed.

She doesn’t get out of her car right away, so I give her a second but then realize maybe she’s not exiting the vehicle because I have the key to the house and she has nowhere to go.

Wanting to make a good impression and seem approachable since I’m the property manager, I run my hand through my hair and adjust my jeans. I’m not wearing any fancy shit, but at least I don’t have holes in or paint stains on my clothes. I hop off my front porch and make my way toward her car, slowly, not wanting to scare her.

There is muffling coming from her car, voices I can’t quite hear, but I get the idea she’s finishing up a conversation, so I slow my pace drastically. That’s when I see her tilt her head down and look at me. From the reflection of the light off her windows, I can’t make out her features. I can only see a silhouette.

I lift a friendly hand in her direction to let her know I come in peace and make my way to her driveway. There is no wave back, but I do hear the telltale sound of her opening her car door. She steps out and when I round the vehicle, I catch the sun off her driver’s side window, temporarily blinding me.

Blinking my eyes a few times to calm my retinas, I bring her into focus.

“Aaron . . .”

Every hair on my body sticks straight up and my body goes still from that voice, that unmistakably sultry voice.

When she finally comes into view, I am met with a pair of hazel eyes I haven’t been able to get out of my head since the day she left town for bigger and better things.

“Amelia.” I clear my throat and take a step forward. “Wow, I uh . . .” Tongue-tied, that’s exactly what I am right now. “Didn’t expect to see you get out of that car.” I laugh nervously while I pull on the back of my neck, trying to comprehend what’s going on. I point with my thumb toward the house and ask, “You’re the new tenant?”

She nods and looks me over, taking her time with her perusal, her eyes burning a hole right through my clothes like they used to. When her eyes meet mine again, she asks, “You’re the property manager?”

I nod and swallow hard. “And neighbor.”

She presses her lips together, thinning them out. “What are the chances?” She laughs nervously.

“Yeah, especially since I thought your life was in the city.” I didn’t mean for that to come out rude, but it did. Gentling my voice, I ask, “What brings you back home?”

Staring at the ground, clutching her purse to her side, she says, “My dad. He’s, uh, not doing well.” Duh, Mrs. Ferguson mentioned something like that. I’m so damn overwhelmed and shocked right now though, that entire conversation I had with Mrs. Ferguson is not registering in my mind.

“Oh no.” My brow pinches together in concern. “What happened?”

She waves me off. “Nothing you need to worry about.” And just like that she shuts me down. Honestly, I’m surprised she said that much to me after how we ended things between us.

Yes, there was an us, a perfectly beautiful, love-filled us. Amelia Santos was the best thing to ever happen to me, and yet, she was also the worst. During a time where my heart broke from every uncaring glance from my mom, Amelia resurrected me from the ashes I would have otherwise drowned in. She was my rock, the one solid feature in my life.

She was also my downfall.

She was going places, and I wasn’t. She had opportunity, and I had none. She wanted me to move with her, and I couldn’t, but no way in hell would I hold her back. I barely made it out of my mom’s house. There were many days when I tried hard to earn a buck so I could find a place to live other than the homeless shelter where I spent many lonely nights. Amelia deserved better than that, so I pushed her away to achieve her dreams. Little did I know, breaking up with her would send me in the biggest downward spiral of my life. The only reason I’m the man I am today is because after hitting rock bottom, I knew things needed to change, and it was up to me to make something of myself. So I worked my ass off. And now at thirty, I can say proudly that I’m a co-owner of an up-and-coming construction company as well as the proud owner of a house in the heart of Hillcrest, a beautiful two-story house. I’m doing well for myself . . . at least that’s what I thought until Amelia stepped out of her car.

Now I’m questioning every little thing about my life leading to this point.

Blog Tour ~ 4 Stars for Dark Promises by Winter Renshaw

I have a secret …

I don’t care if you like me or not.

Insatiable lust for power and control runs thick in my veins. My father served as president of the United States of America—and his father before him. Montgomeries are born to lead and rule, to fear nothing and cower to no one, to make allegiances not friends.

But I digress.

With a senate campaign about to launch and presidential aspirations at fever pitch intensity, imagine my dismay when my strategist tells me I need to “settle down” with a “nice girl” in order to appeal to my constituents.

Enter Rowan Aldridge, a head-turning stunner with a charm school walk, Jackie O. refinement, and a well-connected family.

She’s perfect.

So I’ll do what I have to do, make her believe what I need her to believe, and as soon as the campaign’s over and I’ve secured my senatorial seat, I’ll release my pretty little butterfly back into the wild.

But this isn’t about all of that.

This is what happens a villain falls in love.

Run into an old friend?” I ask when she returns, handing her flute back.
“There was a girl crying in the restroom,” she says. “I had to console her.”
Mary Kate.
“Let’s make rounds, shall we?” I ask, downing the rest of my champagne before leaning into her ear. “I’d like to get out of here while the night’s still young. You slinking around here in that dress and knowing I can’t touch you the way I want to is driving me fucking insane.”
Her chin tucks and her mouth slips into a smirk.
Rowan slips her hand into the bend of my elbow, and I lead her into the crowd. The ballroom is filling by the minute, guests still arriving, and the jazz band in the corner is playing some Frank Sinatra tune.
Everywhere we go, people stare, and I don’t blame them.
We look incredible together, but it isn’t just our outward appearance. It’s everything. We just mesh. We fit. She gets me. I get her.
“I want to introduce you to someone,” I tell her, squeezing her hand as we approach a bald man in a dark gray suit. “Senator Harvey.”
The senator turns, his eyes landing on Rowan first then lifting to me, and when he recognizes me, he extends his hand, grinning wide.
“Keir,” he says. “It’s been a long time. Look at you.”
“Rowan, I’d like you to meet Senator Bill Harvey,” I say. “He was one of my most influential professors at Dartmouth. Now he’s influencing millions. Congratulations on passing that reform bill last year. I know what a labor of love that was for you.”
He rolls back on his heels, nodding. “Almost lost hope for a second, but it pulled through at the last minute. How have you been? How are things going for you?”
I glance at Rowan before answering. “Never better.”
And I mean it.
Rising on the balls of his feet, he makes eye contact with someone in the distance. “Looks like my wife is trying to flag me down, Keir. It was nice talking to you. And great meeting you, Rowan.”
Moving on, I take her from senator to representative to ambassador to billionaire benefactor, all of this serving two purposes.
Primarily, I want these people to feel comfortable supporting me once I announce my candidacy, and in order for them to feel comfortable, I want them to see that I’m getting settled, calming my wild ways. And second, I want Rowan to feel at ease in this world. I want her to feel like a part of it, a part of me. If she stays with me, she’ll need to schmooze and smile and socialize while I get my career off the ground.
When we’ve spent a solid two hours making our rounds, I call the car around.
I want to get her home and I want her all to myself.
I’m done sharing her.
And tomorrow, when she makes her decision, it better be me. And if it isn’t, I’m going to do everything in my power to change her mind.
I can’t lose her. I can’t let her go. Not now, not ever.
I realize tonight, with complete certainty, that I’m falling madly in love with this woman.

My Review

4 Stars!

Welcome back to the Wicked Horse Vegas! This one is three times the erotic fun!

Avril, Dane and Andrew have been best friends for seventeen years, since their freshman year in college. Over the years, their friendship grew stronger and they all came to work together at Dane’s successful Biotech company. It has always been platonic between them, until a visit to the Wicked Horse changes everything.

So, I was a little torn on this one. I gave it four stars because the writing is great, the characters have potential (I’ll get to that in a minute), the plot was good and this by far went the farthest in terms of the erotic nature of the story. (There is this scene when the three of them are in the hotel in Paris and it was 5 alarm smoking hot, folks!!) I wanted to give it a full five stars, but I held back and here is why…

I have no doubt that writing a threesome relationship was not easy. The three of them being best friends and then venturing into a sexual relationship but trying to keep feelings out of it could not have been easy to write. Unfortunately, I felt like the book was missing that spark of feels I normally find in her books. At times the story felt clinical and a bit cold. Andrew was the saving grace of the book, in my opinion. He was the feels and the encouragement, despite his ability to compartmentalize their sexual relationship. Each of the characters has a role and a purpose in the book and in their friendship/relationship – Dane, the cold, driven businessman; Avril, the strong female; Andrew, the laid back, emotional one – but none of them seem to be allowed to feel freely. Now, don’t get me wrong. Eventually, things work themselves out and things progress along in the right direction. Still, though, even when two of the characters begin to explore their feelings, I just couldn’t find myself believing them. However, over all, the story was great. Bennett seemed to put a realism to the threesomes decision to explore their sexual nature as a threesome without affecting the friendship and I appreciated that. These hang-ups about the lack of feels are just my hang-ups and others may see the book differently. I am a fan of grand gestures and big declarations of love in my book, epic romances, if you will, and this was not particularly epic, but it was good and it will appeal to many.

New Release ~ 3.5 Stars for Colby by Casey Peeler

Colby Drake is Mr. Fix It and likes to take things into his own hands. Working in Aunt Tootie’s shop, Dixie is always taking matters into her own hands, and Colby is determined to solve all her problems regardless of whether she wants the help or not. But she’s no damsel in distress looking to be saved.

My Review

3.5 Stars!

Self-proclaimed bachelor, Colby, meets fiery Dixie and sparks fly. He wants to save her and she doesn’t need saving. There’s a lot of push and pull leading to a very sweet, very sexy moment when Dixie finally gives in! I enjoyed this one, a lot. Colby is not my favorite of the Drake brothers, but he was still lovable. Dixie made this story, for sure. Lots of fun to read, Colby is a hit with me.

The moment the door to the store flies open, it takes all of two seconds to see that ginger walk back in here like she’s done a minimum of two times a week since she arrived into town three months ago. Dixie is a spitfire with hair to match, emerald eyes, and is fucking independent as hell.

“Mornin’, Colby. I got a leak at the shop. Can you tell me if you’ve got one of these?” she says as she tosses the spray hose on the counter. Looking at it, it’s an easy fix, and I know I’ve got the Belvedere hose that should easily fix it.

“Yeah, come on. It’s on aisle three.”

“Thank goodness! How the hell am I going to shampoo hair without a freaking sprayer?”

“You could use a cup,” I say as I try to refrain from laughing.

Rolling her eyes, she places her hands on her hips. Shit. Here it comes. “Drake, you listen. I will not have folks getting shampooed with a freaking cup. This ain’t some five-dollar mall beauty parlor. I’ve got a good thing going, but damn, every time I turn around something’s falling apart.”

My Review

4.5 Stars!

Staci Hart does it again with this sweet and heartwarming story!

After Charlie’s wife leaves him and his two kids, he hires Hannah as the nanny. Charlie and Hannah are perfection. This story is near perfect, filled with emotion and just sucked me in from the very beginning. I read the book in less than a day as I just couldn’t get myself to put it down. The book flows easily. The characters are both broken and yet endear themselves to you quickly. You will be rooting for them and their happiness right from the start!

Another amazing read from Staci Hart!

Excerpt:

CHARLIE

The next morning, I was up and in my office before anyone was awake, attacking my work with newfound enthusiasm and a plan in mind. Because I wanted to feel like I’d felt the night before in the kitchen again, and there was only one way to get that back.

Today, I would take a few breaks and be present. Today, I would change, work be damned. Today would mark the first real attempt. Because change wouldn’t happen on its own. I had to make it happen. And to make it happen, I would have to put boundaries in place, starting with my weekends.

I checked the clock around eleven that morning and closed my laptop, pushing away from my desk and heading up the stairs in search of my children.

When I rounded the corner into the kitchen, I found them sitting at the table with their lunches. And when they saw me, their smiles validated my grand plans with unwavering certainty.

“Hey, guys,” I said, smiling back as I walked over to them, ruffling Sammy’s hair when I passed him.

“Hi, Daddy,” he said.

Maven’s mouth was full, so she just waved, and Hannah smiled at me from the island where she was setting up a spread for sandwiches.

I snagged a grape off Maven’s plate and popped it into my mouth. She handed me another, which I accepted.

“Thanks, pumpkin.”

“Are you done working?” Sammy asked hopefully.

“’Fraid not, bud. But I thought I’d come have lunch with you. Is that okay?”

“Yeah! Want a Nilla Wafer?”

“Psh, obviously. And I thought we could play for a little bit before I have to get back to work. What do you say?”

He nodded, grinning. “We can play trucks! You be the bulldozer and I’ll be the tractor and Maven can be the monster truck and Hannah can be the ambulance because she helps people.”

“Perfect,” I said on a chuckle.

A burst of color caught my eye. A vase on the windowsill behind the table held a spray of red and orange tulips.

“Those are beautiful,” I said, gesturing to them. “Where did they come from?”

“Oh, I picked them up this morning,” Hannah said with that ever-present smile.

“Feeling homesick?”

“Always a little. But I love having fresh flowers in the house, something bright and delicate and alive. Well, maybe not alive anymore, but it feels alive, doesn’t it?”

“It does,” I said as I moved to her side.

“Can I make you a sandwich?” Hannah asked.

“Nah, I think I can manage, thanks. How’s it going this morning?”

“It’s good. We went to the park this morning.”

“I rode my bike!” Sammy crowed.

“Did you? No bumps or scrapes?”

“Nope!”

“I’m impressed. Maybe next time I can come too,” I said, hoping it was something I could deliver as I reached into the bread bag for a stack.

Hannah turned to the cupboard, returning with a plate for me.

“Thank you.”

She was still smiling, standing at my side, assembling her sandwich. It was so mundane, something completely and utterly boring, but like the weirdo that I was, I found myself watching her hands as she folded cold cuts. We worked around each other—not that it was complicated, but there was a sort of rhythm between us, a natural pace wherein I used what she wasn’t and finished just as she needed what I had. I wasn’t sure why I noticed it, but I did, and I appreciated the simple synchronicity of the moment, a breath where things were easy.

I passed her the mustard as she handed me the ham. “So, I was thinking …” I paused.

“Oh, were you?” She glanced over at me with a hint of mirth at the corners of her lips.

“I know. I almost sprained something.”

Hannah laughed gently.

“If it’s okay, I think I’d like to try to handle bedtime tonight.”

“Of course it’s okay; they’re your children.” That time, her laughter was sweet.

“Do you … would you … do you think you could maybe …”

She shifted to face me, her eyes full of encouragement.

“Would you mind … helping me?”

Hannah nodded, her smile opening up. “That’s what I’m here for. Just let me know what you’d like me to do.”

I smiled back. “I’m sorry. I know it sounds stupid. I just … I haven’t done this much on my own, but I’d like to start.”

Her eyes softened, caught by slanting light, lighting up with sunshine. “There’s nothing to be afraid of,” she said simply.

I didn’t speak.

“There’s no right or wrong, and they don’t care about anything other than you being there. It’s simple enough; you only have to try.”

“Is it really that easy?”

“It really is. You’ll see.” She reached for my arm and gave it a squeeze that wasn’t meant to be anything but friendly but held something more, something in the pressure in her fingertips and the depths of her eyes.

It was something I did my very best to ignore. But I felt the heat of those fingertips long after they were gone, even as we sat across the table from each other eating lunch, the tulips in the vase behind her bowing their long heads as the sunlight illuminated them, exposing what was hidden within their petals.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey.

From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

One seasoned playboy who is determined to steer clear of relationships.

One feisty freshman who is determined to steer clear of players.

One RED HOT kiss that changes everything.

Stay away from Rushford Knight was the only rule my brothers gave me. But it’s my first year at Whitney Briggs University, my first year from out of the shadow of their wings, and I plan to discover who I really am. I’m pretty certain about one thing, I’m no longer interested in living under the dictatorship of the aforementioned brothers. Yes, Rush Knight is a player who’s only after one thing—but the last thing he’ll get from me is another notch in his belt.
I’ll teach both Rush and my brothers that sometimes life doesn’t play fair.

And neither do I.

My Review

4 Stars!

Welcome back to Whitney Briggs! You’re in for a red hot ride!

You all remember Rush Knight, campus manwhore? Well, this is his story and you’re going to love it! Trixie Toberman (sister to Rex and Knox, step-sister to Scarlett) is a freshman at WB. She is explicitly warned by her brothers to stay away from Rush Knight. So, what does she do? She drags Rush into a bathroom and plants a big one on his sexy lips. Trixie kinds of hates Rush, but she can’t stop thinking about the kiss.

Lots of angst in this one! Addison Moore is the queen of college romance and the master of snark. I love this series to death! Familiar faces continue to pop up bringing a sense of nostalgia. Trixie and Rush are great! You will root for them and especially Rush. He gets his redemption in this book and you find out more about his back story. You can’t help but fall in love with the boy!

(I also love that Addison Moore continues to write this series and was psyched to see another book coming!)

Fall in love with this book, this series and these characters! You won’t regret it.

A startling new vision of paranormal romance: When a human ventures into the world of vampires—a decadent milieu of blood-bonds and betrayal—she discovers that not all is what it seems.

For Reyna Carpenter, giving up her body isn’t a choice. It’s survival.

In a civilization laid waste by poverty and desperation, Reyna accepts a high-paying position with the wealthy and hungry vampire elite. Her new job is as the live-in blood escort for the intimidating, demanding, and devilishly handsome Beckham Anderson. He’s everything she expected from a vampire, except for one thing—he won’t feed off her.

Reyna soon discovers that behind Beckham’s brooding, wicked façade lies a unique and complex man. And that, in a dark and divided world, she is more valuable than she ever would have believed.

For with each passing night, Reyna can’t shake the sensation that it’s Beckham who’s afraid of her.

Note: Reyna and Beckham’s story continues in Blood Match.

Blurb
From the second she saw him, Layla Barros knew Nico Soltero
was all wrong. Wrong age. Wrong education. Wrong job. Wrong everything. She had
a hard enough time convincing her parents that New York really is the right
place for their nineteen-year-old daughter without telling them she’s got a
thing for the FedEx guy at her new part-time job. Too bad the second she saw
him, Layla Barros no longer cared about right and wrong.
Raised with three siblings in Hell’s Kitchen by a single-mom, half
Puerto-Rican, half Italian Nico Soltero is a quintessential New York mutt who’s
always had to shoulder the burdens of his family. Burdens which have cost him
almost all of his dreams, like going to college or becoming an FDNY firefighter.
Now, at twenty-six, he’s finally getting the chance to leave the place that’s
always felt more like a dead weight than the center of the universe. Too bad
the city of his birth has one last hard knock to deal: the girl of his dreams,
sitting right in the middle of his delivery route, three months before his
plane is supposed to take off.

As Layla and Nico find out, love isn’t always convenient, and it never happens
how they planned. The choices that Nico and Layla make now will affect their
lives forever. Will they make them together or apart?

Excerpt
Would it be weird if I just kissed her? Yeah, it would be
weird. But all of sudden, that’s all I can think about doing after this shitty,
shitty day.
She gives me a little scowl as she wipes water off her chin,
but I can tell she’s glad I’m here. She knows it, and I know it. The excitement
is written all over both our faces.
“Look what you made me do,” she says in a tone that’s more
teasing than mad. “A menace, that’s what you are.”
“Aw, I’m sorry, sweetie. You need some help?”
I don’t even wait for her to say yes. I just want to be near
her, that’s all. Nothing inappropriate. Nothing “improper.” Today, I
just need to be next to this girl who fucking lights up whenever she see me.
So I drop the dolly and walk around the desk so I’m
squatting next to her. I grab another napkin off the desktop, and she stares,
mouth slightly open, as I dab at the water drops on her collarbone. There’s
barely anything, really.
And what a total sham. Nothing improper? This is the
definition of improper. But I can’t stop dabbing, can’t stop pressing the
napkin over her dewy skin, wishing to God that it was my fingers or my mouth
instead.
The donut-shaped desk encircles us, forces us close
together, and now that I’m near enough to smell her, I realize this was a
really bad idea. She smells like coconuts and flowers, some exotic mix that
goes straight to my head and other parts lower down.
I’m not much for fancy shit. I shower at night after I’ve
been out all day, and I slap on whatever deodorant I bought on sale last time I
was at the drugstore. All of a sudden, I glance down, conscious of the way
Layla’s nipples have hardened through her thin black sweater, conscious of the
way my pants are suddenly very tight. She inhales sharply, and
I’m extremely aware of the fact that I have been heaving boxes around this city
all damn day.
Fuck, I think. She must think I
absolutely
reek.
Quickly, I stand up and shuffle to the other side of the
desk to start unloading and scanning packages. This day. This god damn day.
If I just ruined my chances with this girl, I’m going to break my own arm off.
And that’s when I realize I actually want a chance with NYU.
Layla. I want to go on a date with her. I want to take her out to dinner and
hold her hand while we walk around the city. I want to know what kinds of
sounds she makes when I kiss her, or maybe even when I do other things to her
too.
Fuck. The timing seriously could not be worse. NoI
can’t do this right now
.
“So, Nico,” she says, pulling me out of my hurricane of
doubt. “Got big plans this weekend?”
She’s hopeful, all big blue eyes as she leans over on the
desk. I exhale. No, I really can’t do this with her. So even though I’m dying
to make her laugh again, I just shrug and set one of the packages down with a
thump.
“Not really,” I say. “Working at AJ’s, you know.
Take it easy on Sunday, maybe go see some art or something.”
“You like art? Really?”
I look up, no longer needing to pretend I’m annoyed with
her. These rich girls––all the goddamn same. They only see the uniform, the
scuffed shoes, the brown skin. They see me and think the only thing I’m good
for is watching sports and drinking beer. Don’t get me wrong, I like sports and
I like beer. But can’t I have other interests too?
“I could like art,” I say casually as I scan another
package. “Why does that surprise you? You think the FedEx means Philistine?”
Her rosebud mouth drops open, and I can’t quite hide my
smirk. That’s right, baby. I can use big words too
Author Bio
Nicole French is an East Coast/West Coast hybrid creature,
Springsteen fanatic, hopeless romantic, and complete and total bookworm. When
not writing or teaching about writing, she is hanging out with her family,
playing soccer with the rest of the thirty-plus crowd in Seattle, or going on
dates with her husband. In her spare time, she likes to go running with her dog,
Greta, or practice the piano, but never seems to do either one of these things
as much as she should.
