New Release ~ 5 Stars for Switch Hitter by Sara Ney!

I knew something was wrong the second she walked in the door tonight; I just couldn’t put my finger on what it was.

Same hair color.

Same legs.

Same face.

Except…I look harder.

At the small dimple beneath her lip that wasn’t there the last time we went out. And her laugh—that laugh isn’t as loud.

This isn’t the girl I’ve gone out with the past few weeks.

It’s her twin sister, and they’ve switched places on me.

Only I’m not quite ready to let them switch back.

My Review

5 Stars!

Switch Hitter is a quick, fun read from Sara Ney. It was previously part of an anthology, but not it is available to everyone and you’re going to love it!

Lucy and Amelia are identical twins, but that is where their similarities end. Lucy schedules two dates for the same night, so instead of coming clean to one of the dates, she asks Amelia to go in her place. Dante “Dash” Amado is sexy as hell and not as dumb as Lucy thinks.

This was a fast read at novella length. It is also a brief introduction to characters you will see in Ney’s upcoming new series. The plot was fun. Ney’s great, easy-to-read writing style shone through. Amelia and Dante, and even Lucy were great! Despite being a quick read, there was plenty of character and plot development.

I loved it and I know you will, too!

My Review

5 Stars!

A Top Read of 2018!

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing this book is! The writing, the story, the characters, the climax… that HEA! All of it amazing! This is one of my favorite re-tellings of the Snow White/Little Snow fairytale I have ever read!

I won’t give a lot of story details, because spoilers super suck! What I will tell you is that it has all the elements of the Grimm fairy tale with a little Disney thrown in and Myers has thrown the perfect contemporary twist on it, weaving the theme of snow so perfectly through the book in more ways than one.

Neve (Snow White) is a great character. She is flawed, honest, caring and real. She is a character you can fall into. Charm (Prince Charming) is certainly not like the fair-haired, royal prince. In my opinion, he was better. He was still written to be her rescuer, but he wasn’t perfect, by any means. He didn’t ride in on his steed (or motorcycle as it may be) and rescue her. The seven men (or Seven Dwarfs) are a ragtag bunch of bikers that you can’t help but love. At times, they are the stars of the book.

The most impressive part of this re-telling, in my opinion, was Myers ability to weave this complex backstory that gradually revealed itself through the book in bits and pieces as journal entries. They were kept to the minimum and only used as plot drivers at the appropriate places throughout the book. It was perfectly done. I am not much for flashbacks, especially when they are overused or seem forced. That was not the case here, so kudos Ms. Myers!

Honestly, I can’t find one thing I didn’t like. The book was well-paced, a good length and there were no pesky plot holes. Heck, she even managed to keep the true bad guy under wraps until the perfect moment.

An amazing fairy-tale retelling. An amazing read!

“Will Clint be in a good mood when he comes home tonight?” I whispered the words as I shook the black orb in my hand.
‘Don’t count on it’ appeared within the blue triangle and I let out a small sigh of disappointment.
So much for a peaceful evening.
Maybe relying on a Magic 8 ball to solve my problems wasn’t the best use of my time, but I had nowhere else to be. I’d become what my parents had feared most—an unemployed nobody, shacked up with her loser boyfriend.
I certainly never saw it working out like that.
“You either need to buy something or leave.” The store owner glared at me from the other side of the counter and I immediately felt guilty—as if I’d been doing something wrong.
“I was just browsing—” I said calmly before he interrupted.
“I know what you’re doing—you’re either casing the place or looking to shoplift. I don’t tolerate either; so get out.”
I opened my mouth to protest when he pointed to the sign hanging on the door.
‘We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.’
I tossed my purse over my shoulder and held my head high as I walked out. I guess novelty stores were cracking down on the types of customers they allowed.
The bell chimed over the door as it swung shut behind me and I turned around with a smirk, middle finger in the air. That smirk faded the minute I caught my reflection in the glass.
Is that what I looked like?
No wonder he threw me out.
My hair hung in unwashed clumps around my shoulders. My eyes were sunken in, cheeks concave. A fading yellow bruise was the only color on my ghost white skin.
I lowered my hand and turned away. I couldn’t bear to stare at myself any longer. It was like staring at a stranger. The shopping center was almost empty, save for a handful of cars. Everyone was off enjoying their fourth of July weekend. I bet the Res was packed.
The Boulder Reservoir was a popular hangout spot and this weekend would be no different. In another life, I would’ve been out there with friends.
A lone desk chair rolled aimlessly across the parking lot as the breeze caught it and I found myself mesmerized by the sight of it.
How had something like that ended up here?
It was a great metaphor for my life. That chair and I had a lot in common. I should’ve graduated a couple of months ago. Instead, I was here, watching my life roll past.
What goes up must come down though.
I’d convinced myself that because Clint had personal feelings for me, he’d never let me get addicted. I had this crazy idea that he somehow had my best interests at heart.
I was wrong.
Clint was no longer Clint.
In his place was a temperamental monster. The insidiousness was subtle and his skill at hiding it was better than the mob. Once I’d sobered up enough to see how bad things had gotten, it was too late. The man I loved had been taken over by addiction.
So, I made excuses for him—I said I’d never put up with abuse; then again, I also said I’d never do drugs. It was a bit like a lobster in a pot of water that was slowly getting hotter. By the time the lobster realized that something was wrong, it was too late—the damn thing had been boiled alive.
There weren’t any shades of gray when it came to my relationship with Clint either. I’d seen enough over the years to know that I was firmly ensconced in ‘accomplice territory.’
If the cops ever caught on to his illegal activities, I was going down as well.
I noticed the owner of the shop watching me suspiciously, so I moved over a few buildings before sinking down onto the sidewalk.
The breeze picked up again and the chair rolled a few feet to the left before coming to a stop. I’d never wanted to be an inanimate object more than I did in that exact moment.
A drop of crimson hit the sidewalk between my legs, quickly followed by another. I stared at it in confusion until I realized it was coming from my nose. Again. I wiped at it with the back of my hand. Instead of being concerned, it just made me crave another hit.
This had to be rock bottom. My life had become a vicious circle of white snow and blood red reminders that I needed a fix. I was headed nowhere—scratch that. I was headed toward my imminent death, yet I was too far gone to stop now.
My mind no longer raced with thoughts of ‘coulda, woulda, shoulda.’ It was wholly occupied only with thoughts of the next bump.
The most pathetic part was that I was friggin’ content to continue living like this. At some point over the last few weeks, I’d reached acceptance. I was just like that chair, letting outside circumstances move me any which way they pleased.
It’d been so long since I’d made up my own mind on anything—so long since I wasn’t under the influence of either cocaine or Clint.
I told myself I was smarter than the drug; convinced myself that I could handle it. Instead, I was completely powerless against it all.
I stood up and pinched my nostrils closed in a poor attempt to stop the bleeding. I inhaled through my mouth and immediately began coughing as the blood ran down the back of my throat.
The chair continued its path across the parking lot, not even stopping to say goodbye.
Lucky chair.

Shannon is a born and raised Texan. She grew up inventing clever stories, usually to get herself out of trouble. Her mother was not amused. In junior high, she began writing fractured fairy tales from the villain’s point of view and that was the moment she knew that she was going to use her powers for evil instead of good.

In 2003, she moved to Denver and met the love of her life. After some relentless stalking and a few well-timed sarcastic remarks, the man eventually gave in to her charms and wifed her so hard. They welcomed a son in 2007 that they named after their favorite Marvel superhero, Spiderman.

Sick of seeing beautiful mountains through their window every day, the three escaped back to the desolate landscape of the west Texas desert in 2009. She welcomed her second son not long after and soon realized that being surrounded by three men was nothing at all like she’d imagined in her fantasies.

After an unplanned surgery in 2014 and a long pity party, she decided to pen a novel about the worst thing that could happen to a person in order to cheer herself up. She’s twisted like that. Thus, From This Day Forward was born and the rest, as they say, is history.

Not only does Shannon enjoy stalking people, she also has a fondness for being stalked.

“If you’re a fan of Kristen Ashley, then you will love this book.” -Aestas Book Blog on Four Letter Word

He didn’t want to be bad. He just didn’t have a choice…

Sean has done things in life. Bad things. And he’s paid the price. All he wants now is to make up for his past by doing good in the present. And no one deserves more good than Shay. Beautiful on the inside and out, Shay is the kind of woman who should be cared for and protected–especially from a man like Sean. He’s tried to keep his feelings for her in check, but a single, reckless impulse pulls them closer than ever before.

Soon the two are sharing their biggest dreams and satisfying their deepest desires. But what will happen if the only way to truly give each other what they want most…is to let each other go?

Warning – this book will take you on one heck of an emotional journey! Grab the tissues. You’ve been warned!

Sean and Shalya’s story is heartbreaking, emotional, beautiful… absolutely amazing! Sean is broken, so very broken. He is gruff and angry and yet he is kind and good. Shalya is all sunshine and light and she is his savior, his saving grace, the woman who puts him back together. I cried big, ugly tears. I laughed. I smiled. I cried tears of happiness.

Of all the books I’ve read of J. Daniels’s (which is all of them), this is by far my favorite. I honestly don’t know how she will ever top this!

Blog Tour ~ 5 Stars for The Bitterroot Inn by Devney Perry!

Today we have the blog tour for The Bitterroot Inn by Devney Perry! Be sure to grab your copy now!

Title: The Bitterroot Inn

Author: Devney Perry

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About The Bitterroot Inn:

Her past. His secrets. They have more in common than she knows.

Maisy is happily content with the life she’s built for herself and her young son in small-town Prescott, Montana. Her child is thriving, her business is growing, and her family is as close as they’ve ever been. But when a handsome stranger walks into the lobby of her motel, her simple life is swept up in a wave of affection for his gentle heart. None of those feelings can be trusted, though. She made that mistake before with another man. The man she murdered.

Hunter was a different man when he first saw Maisy Holt from afar. He took one look at her and ran in the opposite direction. But years later, he’s back in Montana and unable to keep his distance. He shouldn’t have tried to find her but he never was good at rejecting temptation. The promise of the good she could bring into his life is too hard to resist. Maybe if he can disguise the lies and hide the deceit, he can keep her from learning the truth. Because his only chance at a future with her is by burying his past.

My Review

5 Stars!

A Top Read of 2018!

Oh my goodness! This book! What a PERFECT ending to a perfect series!

Maisy Holt has been through a lot! She fell for a man who turned out to be a pill stealing crazy person who tried to kill her and their unborn baby. I mean, who gets over something like that?! Nearly four years later, Maisy is strong and independent, raising her son alone and running the Bitterroot Inn all by herself. Of course, she has the support of her family and friends, but she wants what they have – love and a happily ever after. Enter Hunter Faraday…

When you crack open this gem of a book, you get a prologue that foreshadows what is to come. I have to admit, I was a little wary after reading the prologue, but it turns out I worried for nothing. I loved Hunter. Was he a bit intense? Yep. Was he sexy and alphas? Absolutely. He was also keeping secrets, which proved to be the catalyst that pushed the story to its climax. However, along the way, a beautiful love story develops. Hunter doesn”t just love Maisy, he loves Coby, too. He wants Maisy as his wife and Coby as his son. While it might seem rushed, it really isn’t, at least not for him. All the books in this series feature a bit of a mystery or danger or both and that is still present here. I actually loved the twist to the story and they way Devney Perry wrapped it up.

I am sad to see the series come to a close, but this was the perfect ending! The epilogue was sweet and tied the entire series together and ended it on a happy, little note! I can’t wait to see what comes next from this amazing author!

My Review

5 Stars!

Five perfect stories from five amazing authors! This bundle deserves 5 stars, hands down!

I am going to specifically review Tricked by Rebecca Zanetti, because she is a new to me author. Why have I never read her before?!?!

Tricked is an interesting, paranormal twist on the relationship of convenience trope. Ronni is dying. When she accepts a too good to be true offer of immortality from sexy vampire, Jared, things don’t quite go as planned. It was supposed to be one night with an occasional drop in here and there and an eternity of protection and life.

I liked Ronni and Jared. She was strong and independent, didn’t cow to his rules. Jared was sexy and brooding, but with a deep heart underneath. I loved that this wasn’t just a romance, but a bit of danger, too.

I will be reading more from this author for sure!

Plus, how can you go wrong with Molly E. Lee, Lauren Blakely, Lilliana Hart and Shayla Black?!

UNDONE, the stunning conclusion in the Unknown Trilogy is now available! Grab your copies of the Unknown Trilogy today!

About UNKNOWN (Unknown Trilogy #1):

Amber Tate believes the worst thing she’ll suffer in life is dealing with the unrequited love she feels for her brother’s best friend, Rylen Fite. She also believes war is something unfortunate that happens places far, far away from her rural Nevada town. She’s wrong on both counts.

When an unknown organization meticulously bombs major cities in the United States and across the globe, a trickle-down effect spreads to remaining towns at an alarming speed—everything from food and water sources to technology and communications are compromised. Without leadership, the nation is split between paralysis and panic, but Amber isn’t one to hide or watch helplessly. She’s determined to put her nursing skills to use, despite the danger, even if it means working alongside the man she can never have.

In this first installment of NY Times bestselling author, Wendy Higgins’s debut New Adult series, a frighteningly realistic apocalyptic America is brought to life, entwined with searing romantic tension that will leave you eager for more.

My Review of Unknown

4.5 Stars!!

What happens when the world is attacked by an unknown enemy? For Amber and her family and friends, it means survival any way they can.

I got sucked into this book from the first chapter and read it in nearly one sitting. I went into this without reading the synopsis. I cracked open the book and was a thrown by the prologue (you’ll see why). Then, I started into the chapter one and I was hooked. The book is broken into two parts, before and after the attacks, essentially. Amber, the protagonist, is a young girl at the start of the book. We learn about her family and Rylen, the neighbor boy who quickly becomes her whole world. The first part of the book is all about Amber and her life as she grows up, her relationship with Rylen and who her feelings for him grow beyond brotherly. Then the attacks happen and everything changes.

I am so impressed with this book. Other than the alien aspect, the scarily-realistic response to the disaster was eerie. The writing is phenomenal as I’ve come to expect from Wendy Higgins. She takes care to put detail into her writing without overwhelming the reader. There is just enough given away within the story to fuel your curiosity and yet not enough to resolve the crisis. BUT, the real star of this book/series is the burgeoning feelings between Amber and Rylen. It is sweet and angsty with twists you won’t see coming and heartbreak that will squeeze that muscle in your chest.

The book ends on a cliffhanger as this is a trilogy and the end of the book is enough to make you want to throw the book or your ereader to the ground.

An amazing first book in a series that is sure to be a hit!

About UNREST (Unknown Trilogy #2):

Being on the run in the desert means food and sanctuary are hard to come by, but Amber Tate and her crew are not about to give up. Not after having so many of the things they love brutally ripped from them by an unknown enemy who sent their world into the apocalypse.

Survival takes precedence, but once safe shelter is found, their guards fall and the emotions they’ve been holding in are finally released. Anger, insecurities…lust. In their tight quarters, Amber, Rylen, Tater, and Remy can’t escape it. The past must be faced, and passions run even stronger in the darkest of times.

In the midst of unrest, their worlds are rocked again when they discover the truth about the war that’s ruined their lives. They thought finding out the enemy’s identity would give them the edge; instead it’s revealed terrifying dangers they never thought possible.

My Review of Unrest

4.5 Stars!

The second installment of the Unknown Trilogy is here and it is fire!

Picking up immediately after the cliff-hanger ending of book one, Unrest, our merry band of survivors begins the trek to DPG and hopeful safety. Their journey is not easy. They deal with danger, weather, sickness and lack of supplies. They finally make it in the knick of time and that’s where this book really begins.

After the survivors arrive at DPG, the book changes pace and deals with the interpersonal relationships among the survivors and the new group of people they encounter at DPG. Amber really starts to reach her full potential in her new role. The guys are allowed to be the soldiers they were trained to be. Remy blossoms. Relationships ebb and flow. The will they won’t they of Rylen and Amber reaches a resolution. And then…

I loved the last chapter of this book. I won’t give it away in case you haven’t read it, but Higgins changes things up a bit and it works. I am hopeful this continues into the third book because the entire landscape of the series changed in an instant at the end of Unrest and a change up would be perfect. It isn’t all about Amber anymore.

An amazing installment in this NA sci fi series!

About UNDONE (Unknown Trilogy #3):

Amber Tate never dreamed their heart-wrenching escape from the enemy’s attack would lead them to the most beautiful place she’s ever seen. Like everywhere else in the world, Elmendorf military base in Alaska has been taken over, but it’s time to take it back—all of it—one base, one city at a time. After losing so much, Amber clings to the one precious person she has left, and vows to sacrifice everything to help save the Earth.

Remy Haines is a lover, not a fighter, so when she finds herself in enemy territory, expected to feign allegiance while gathering intel for the rebel cause, she’s never been more out of her element. Tensions only increase when her feelings for Jacob “Tater” Tate won’t go away, and the enemy’s leader takes an interest in her. She’s torn between what her heart wants, and what she knows she should do. As for what her body needs…well, it’s always had a mind of its own.

My Review of Undone

5 Stars!

It’s here and it is fantastic!

Book two left off with a killer cliff-hanger and Undone picks up right where Unrest left off. We find out what has become or Amber, Remy, Rylen and Tater and it is not good for any of them. The safety they were promised is no longer safe. With all of the merry gang of humans facing dangers, Undone is a suspenseful, heart-pounding ride.

Amber is even more bad a*# than before. She and Rylen burn hotter than before. I love those two! Tater is still an emotional mess, but getting stronger with a new found determination. The surprise of this book is Remy! She comes into her own. When faced with making tough choices, she finally pulls up her big girl panties and does what needs to be done. I love the emotional tension between Remy and Tater. They are unknowingly healing each other.

My favorite thing about the book was the ending. Finally seeing these people who have fought so hard get their lives back and get the HEA’s they so deserve!

Wendy Higgins, you are a queen! An amazing ending to this trilogy!

Title: The Outpost

Author: Devney Perry

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About The Outpost:

Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn’t expect to fall for his big heart.

Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn’t exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article’s success, she’s on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she’s forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she’s secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn’t the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.

Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he’s a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won’t be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn’t as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.

My Review

5 Stars!!

The Outpost is book perfection!

This is one of my favorite series of all time and this is my favorite book in the series! I knew Beau’s book was going to be great, but this exceed my expectations! Beau, the quiet mountain man is serious, full of loyalty and love for his family and full of love just waiting to be given. Sabrina is strong and independent, but also vulnerable. The chemistry between Beau and Sabrina is palpable and instant.

The entire story is engrossing. Beau and Sabrina are amazing characters, but the real surprise is the outpost, which is a character in and of itself. It is a living, breathing entity of isolation and protection and the catalyst for what happens between Beau and Sabrina. Yes, the circumstances that lead to Sabrina showing up in Prescott are a factor, but it was Beau’s decision and willingness to protect Sabrina, a woman he didn’t even know, that led him to hide her at the outpost and eventually confront his feelings for her.

This isn’t an easy book to read. It is full of angst and hidden feelings. Sabrina will get to you. Beau will make you swoon. The two of them spend so much time miscommunicating, but it only adds to the depth of the story and leads to the perfect HEA and a sweet epilogue! The Outpost has everything that makes an amazing read – emotion, angst, a little danger and most of all love!

This is a 5 star, must read, go and buy it right now kind of book!

Title: Nightshade
Author: Molly McAdams
Series: A Redemption Novel
Genre: Romantic Suspense

She is chaos. She is poison. And she is the one thing I crave.

The heart-stopping final installment in New York Times bestselling author Molly McAdams’s Redemption series.

My life has never been my own. From the time I could walk, I was trained to be the mob’s hardened assassin. To be a monster. I’ve been told what to do, when to kill, and who to love. The minute I strayed, I lost everything.

Then I met Jessica.

She swept into my life like a storm of heartache, seduction, and intrigue. She’s everything I hate, but with one look, I can’t stay away. With one touch, she ignites a craving unlike anything I’ve ever known.

But her secrets threaten to destroy everything closest to me. Including her…

Together we’re poison. A destructive combination of darkness and chaos. And I want to savor every drop in my veins.

***The Redemption series is a series of romantic suspense standalones***

My Review

5 Stars!

The final book in the interconnected Redemption series will knock your socks off! Powerful, intense, incredibly emotional, Molly McAdams ends the series with a bang.

This is at its core a story of redemption, even more so than the preceding books in the series. Keiran blew me away. He is dangerous and flawed and so beautiful. Jessica is strong and amazing. She does what she has to do to survive. Her misguided efforts to help out her addict mother are sad, yet you can’t help but see her in a shininng light. Keiran and Jessica’s story burrowed itself into my soul, pulling and tearing at it along the way.

This is a dark, emotional romantic suspense that is a must read!

The muscles in Kieran’s jaw ticked, and the anger rolling off his body suddenly felt like a living thing. But his stare never wavered from mine as I soundlessly opened the knife at my side.

“Or did I hit a little too close for comfort last night?” I asked, my voice both seductive and mocking as I took another step closer to him and then another. “Could you just not satisfy her?”

My brows rose at the growl behind his demand. “Is that right?”

His eyes held so much warning as I took the last step to press my body against his.

My body trembled and begged to get closer still, but I forced myself not to move.

I hated him for the way he felt.

I hated him for the way my body craved more and betrayed me.

I hated him for everything he was and for making me want him in a way I’d never wanted a man.

I hated him.

“Who knew the mob’s feared assassin was lacking.”

One second I was in front of him, staring into those wild eyes, the next I was pressed face-first to the wall with Kieran’s hard body caging me against it. His strong hands were pinning mine to the wall. My knife was gone.

His chest moved roughly against my back, his breath made my hair dance along my cheek and lips, and I ached to push against where I could feel his hardened length in his jeans.

Oh God.

What is wrong with me?

I tried to force a wild laugh from my lungs.

I tried to taunt him.

But there was nothing.

“How long?” he demanded, his voice hoarse.

I curled my hands against the wall and shivered beneath him when his body moved closer and he pressed our hands harder to the wall.

“What?” I asked breathlessly.

“How long have you been watching us?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know?”

A huff tumbled from my lips when his mouth met my ear. The sound ended on a whimper when the movement forced my butt against his erection.

I needed the heavy, sickening feeling weighing my body down. I needed the disgust and hatred at having a man so close. I needed the reminder of who I was and why I did what I did.

But all I could smell was the subtle hint of his soap.

All I could see was his tattooed arms twisting over mine.

All I could feel was his lean muscles crowding around me in a way that felt so foreign and good.

And I wanted more . . .

Weak. So weak.

“How long?”

My body tensed.

If he had yelled the question, it might have been easier. But there was something truly terrifying in the soft tenor of his voice. And for the first time, I was afraid to be in the same room as him.

But I wasn’t scared for my life.

I was scared for my soul.

I slowly looked over my shoulder and forced myself to hold his disturbing stare. “Nearly half my life.”

A powerhouse romantic suspense that will have you questioning your morals and second guessing your view on love.

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she’s not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm … or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren’t really happening.

New Romantic Suspense! 5 Stars for Dignity by Jay Crownover!

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Jay Crownover returns with the second title in her romantic suspense series, The Breaking Point, DIGNITY. Check out the excerpt below and grab your copy today!

Looks can be deceiving.

I knew that most people took one look at the ink and the impossibly big and strong body it covered and decided I was a brawler…a bruiser…a beast. However, I was hardwired to be a thinker, not a fighter.

I should have chosen to use my brain and talents to be one of the good guys, a hero, a man with dignity and worth.

I turned my back on dignity and sold my soul to the highest bidder, deciding to dance with the devil, instead.

I couldn’t figure out how to help myself, so there was zero chance I knew how to save someone else.

That someone else was Noe Lee. She was the unkempt, unruly thief who was just as smart as I was and twice as street savvy. She was annoyingly adorable beneath the dirt and grime, and she was in trouble. In way over her head, I told myself it wasn’t my job to keep her from drowning. In the Point, it was sink or swim, and I wasn’t the designated lifeguard on duty.

I shut the door in her face, but now she’s gone…vanished…disappeared without a trace. It took less than a second for me to realize that I wanted her back.

When a woman comes along that melts all the frozen, hard things you’re made of; you’ll do anything you have to, to bring her home.

What you see is not always what you get…and with a man like me, what you get is more than anyone ever bargained for.

My Review

5 Stars!

Fantastic. Amazing. Ridiculously good. I could keep going with the adjectives but I will say this… This is by far my favorite Jay Crownover book EVER! I didn’t think anyone could top Bax. Yes, I know. All those Marked Men and Saints, but I love Bax. Only, I love Stark! He is intuitive and honest and dark and so full of emotion. His connection to Noe was perfection.

The gritty world of The Point is already a character in and of itself. Crownover has written it into an living, breathing character. Then, she writes these fantastic, real characters to live in the world of The Point and the entire thing becomes something big and palpable and engrossing. I have been waiting for Noe and Stark’s story since reading the end of Honor. I just knew it was going to be amazing. I had hyped it up in my head and it lived up to all that I had hoped. Danger and intrigue combined with beloved characters and a love story that exceeded my imagination combine to make one helluva read.

The Point pulls people in and won’t let them go. Diginity is much like that… it sucks you in and you find yourself turning pages long into the night.

This book is a MUST read and goes on my Top Reads of 2017!

My name is Cassidy Porter…
My father, Paul Isaac Porter, was executed twenty years ago for the brutal murder of twelve innocent girls.

To protect the world from the poison in my veins, I live a quiet life, off the grid, away from humanity.
I promised myself, and my mother, not to infect innocent lives with the darkness that swirls within me, waiting to make itself known.
It’s a promise I would have kept…if Brynn Cadogan hadn’t stumbled into my life.
Now I exist between heaven and hell: falling for a woman who wants to love me, while all along reminding myself that I must remain…
**NOTE: This book is intended for readers 18+**

My Review

5 Stars!

Amazing!!  A Top Read of 2017!

I can’t begin to tell you how much I loved this book! Katy Regnery goes outside her norm and brings us a highly emotional tale of love and healing. Told in alternating POV, you will love Cassidy and Brynn and their unique story!

I loved the unique back story of Cassidy’s life. The son of a serial killer? What??? Poor Cassidy had it bad – the people in town unfairly condemned him as a boy solely on who his father was. His family convinced him he would grow up to be bad and set the course of his life. When he meets Brynn his life turns upside down in a good way but he is holding back, convinced he is bad to the core. Brynn is a breath of fresh air. She does her best to convince him he is good and can be loved. She just never gave up.

So emotional. I ugly cried more than once. Regnery s writing sucked me in from the very beginning. I appreciate the care and time Regnery must have spent researching for this story.

This is a hard left from Regnery’s usual style, but it was a successful venture outside her norm. I hope for more of the same!

5 Stars for this amazing new release! A definite must read!!!
