Random Series Mega Bundle
Julia Kent
(The Random Series, #1-8)
Publication date: August 3rd 2016
Genres: Comedy, New Adult, Romance

From New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent comes a very special sale. Regular price $25.99!

Darla’s not the type to pick up hitchhikers on the turnpike in rural Ohio — especially naked ones. She also didn’t plan to have her first book become a New York Times and USA Today bestseller, and turn into eight books of heart, heat, hilarity and crazy comedy mixed in with wild, deep romance that lasts and lasts…

The Random Series giant boxed set contains the first 8 books in the Random series, a bestselling saga that defies categorization. Romantic comedy, heart-stopping drama, unconventional sensuality, rock star gods, mousy librarians with quite a nightstand drawer stash, a mother who is addicted to sweepstakes winnings, sugar-free gummy bears that cause a CDC scare, and a chicken running for president (who probably polls better than any of the current choices)…you won’t find another book series quite as “random” as this.

Save when you buy this omnibus, and sink into a half a million words of fun and love.

This boxed set contains:

Random Acts of Crazy (Book 1)

Random Acts of Trust (Book 2)

Random Acts of Fantasy (Book 3)

Random Acts of Hope (Book 4)

Randomly Ever After: Sam and Amy (Book 5)

Random Acts of Love (Book 6)

Random on Tour: Los Angeles (Book 7)

Merry Random Christmas (Book 8)

EXCERPT:

The last time I saw Sam was four and a half years ago at the qualifiers for the National Debate Tournament. He was from a neighboring school and I’d seen him since freshman year at different speech tournaments, every Saturday, from the end of October through March with few exceptions. I had a sense of who he was from the start. He was Lincoln-Douglas debate all the way, baby. Smart, determined, and turning from a silent geek into one hell of a hot guy by the time we were seniors.

The funny part was he didn’t know it.

The awesome part was that was what drew me to him.

He wasn’t awkward, like the other guys. Sam was so self-contained and knew himself so deeply that he didn’t need to talk about it, show off, or prove his manhood. Talking to Sam could be torture. Catching him in the halls, in the cafeteria with his group from his high school, and me with my group from their rival, we intersected enough to hang out. Over ice cream bars and the occasional cup of coffee by our senior year, there was an accumulation of just enough conversations for me to decide that I wasn’t crazy and that there was a spark of interest there.

What happened to confirm that was burned into my brain, the second strongest memory of my life.

I lost one of the most intense debates of my career two weeks before qualifiers, and Sam found me in a corner of the enormous high school auditorium. I was trying to cry quietly, and mostly not succeeding. He just found me—that’s all. He didn’t lord over the fact that he placed first in the tournament that day, to my third. He didn’t try to say all the right words that everyone thought were kind, and considerate, and comforting, and helpful.

He didn’t stumble or say “I’m sorry.” He just walked up and stopped a few feet away from me, his brow lowering with a frown of recognition, and then did something so perfect it makes me ache to this day. Decisively, step by step, he closed the gap and just put his arms around me.

Tucked my cheek into his chest and wound one arm around my waist, the other around my shoulders, rested his head on my hair, and held me.

I would give anything to go back to that moment in the auditorium, with its cracked wood seats and its shabby, threadbare carpet, its smell of lemony bleach, to feel again how Sam filled all my senses. My ear against the wool of his suit, his arms wrapped around me like a cocoon of understanding. His aftershave, the rasp of his cheek against my ear. Sam created a world for me in that one moment, a safe world where I could cry. A world where I fell in love.

What I didn’t know then was that two weeks later at the national qualifier tournament, I would dismantle that world, atom by atom, molecule by molecule, completely unaware that I was doing it at the time.

“Let me up,” she said as calmly as she could. She felt as if he had struck her. The ease with which he so readily disregarded her feelings for him burned a path through her insides, leaving her in physical pain.

“No, not until you submit to me and admit you need my protection.”

Amira knew she didn’t have the strength to force him off her, so she did the only thing she could think of; she lifted her head from the floor and brought her lips to his. She kissed him with all of the anger, frustration, hurt feelings, and above all, the love she couldn’t help but feel. His whole body turned to stone above hers, but he didn’t pull away. He stayed very still and seemed to stop breathing.

Amira knew it might be her only chance to ever kiss him, so she decided she would allow herself to savor it for the moment. She opened her mouth and caressed his closed lips with her tongue invitingly. At his low growl, she did it again, only this time he opened his mouth in acceptance and began to kiss her back, his whole body relaxing into the kiss. She brought her hand up and ran her fingers through his long hair like she’d always wanted to. She had planned the kiss only to be a distraction, but it turned out to be something far more.

Before she was completely lost, she reminded herself of her original purpose. Easing back, she brushed her lips against his and whispered, “I’m sorry.”

She brought her right knee up quickly and made contact with the sensitive juncture between his legs. Using all of her strength to push him off, she rolled out from beneath him, made it to her feet, and stood over him.

“You taught me that because I’m smaller, I need to use any means necessary. I’m sorry, but that was necessary. If you don’t need me in return, then I won’t allow myself to need you.”

Cover Reveal! Garrett by Karla Sorensen

Title: Garrett
Series: Bachelors of the Ridge #2
Author: Karla Sorensen
Release Date: Oct 21, 2016
The one thing Garrett Calder and Aurora Anderson have in common is that they absolutely hate each other.
Garrett has the job that Aurora has worked for and wanted for years and it was handed to him on a silver platter, just like everything else in his life. The fact that he manages everything with the most annoyingly handsome smile on his equally annoying, handsome face is just icing on the freaking cake.
Aurora is not only the most beautiful, but the smartest, most infuriating woman Garrett has ever had the misfortune of meeting. Her sharp tongue and inability to be charmed by him makes her somehow more maddening, and she’s never let him get away with a single thing, not for the eight years they’ve worked together.
Garrett and Aurora are pushed into a situation neither of them want to be in— forced to work together for twelve months or risk losing everything. Twelve months where they can’t kill each other. Twelve long months, and only one of them will be left standing at the end. And in the process of surviving it—and each other—they’ll discover that there’s a very fine line between love and hate.
Well, let’s see … I’m a wife and a mother. I’m a writer who wants to make people smile when they read my words. I own a dog that sheds roughly eighteen pounds of hair every day. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I’ll love you forever.

Falling in love is easy.Falling out of love is the hardest thing in the world.

And Elin and Ty Whitt are terrible at it.

The first time the local basketball star smiled at Elin, she was a goner. It was just so damn easy to fall for the dark-haired hometown hero with his charming smile and strong, athletic build.

Thousands of sleepy smiles, aimless drives down country roads, and squeaks of the backdoor after a swing shift later, reality hits. And it hits hard. Falling in love was definitely the easy part. Watching it break apart was impossible.

Through the tears, the second-guesses, the memories of a life built together, the world keeps spinning. With each turn comes clarity and hope—sometimes in the form of a pair of muddy boots by the back door or from the words of a wise friend.

When Ty shows back up with a new found determination to put his family back together, Elin’s torn between the fights of the past and the possibility of a new start. This is the man that holds her heart, the man she loves beyond anything else. But this is also the one person in the world that can cause her the most pain.

Life’s not always easy. Love’s not for the faint of heart. But with life comes lessons and Ty and Elin have the scars to prove it. But it’s their love written in those scars that will hold them together … or break them apart.

Every small town has that one family that’s more savage than civilized. The ones that are more myth and legend than man. In Old Settlers, Oklahoma that’s the Bomar boys. Wild, reckless and vicious, they skirt the line of criminal and trip over it more often than not. They are their own punchline: white trash but proud beyond compare. Dirty and dangerously sexy, it’s best to steer clear of them or else risk your life… and your heart. These are their stories.Colt Bomar is a bastard. A dirty, violent piece of white trash, he makes no apologies for who and what he is. He’s never cared what anyone thinks of him and he cares even less about trying to be a better kind of man… until her.

She’s everything he’s not. Good, sweet, gentle, she’s an angel that brightens his dark existence. But he’s seen the kind of destruction a man like him can wreak and he intends to protect her from that, from him, if it’s the only good thing he ever does.

Skylar Holland is no angel. Angels don’t lust after the bad-tempered boy next door when they’re involved with another man. They don’t dream about having the rough hands and sinful mouth of a guy that snaps and snarls at them all over their body. And that’s what she’s wanted from Colt since the moment the troubled Bomar boy said they were nothing but friends.

Friends? With a man that makes her blood boil and her heart melt? No, she wants more. She wants everything. And she’s not about to apologize for going after what she knows they both want. Forever.

Can he overcome his past to give her the future he knows she deserves? or is he doomed to repeat the sins of his father by dragging her down into the darkness with him? And if she treads into the shadows to win him will she even still be the woman he wants when they come out the other side?

*No Apologies is the second book in the Bomar Boys series but can be read as a stand-alone. Each book features one couple and a HEA but do build on each other so they are best read in order.

EXCERPT:

Helena enters the room like she expects someone to jump out from dark corner. Neck stretched, she takes in a high quality yet typical hotel room with a king-sized bed and two nightstands. The TV is big and flat, resting on top of a dresser, and then there’s a mirror over a small office desk with a phone and some restaurant flyers on it.

“It’s nice,” she says. “I like that it doesn’t smell like smoke.”

“That would be terrible. Is that what you’re used to? Smoking rooms?”

“We have a cigar room,” she replies, confused, until she breaks in an apologetic laugh. “Oh, as in smoking versus nonsmoking hotel room. I get it.”

“You have a cigar room? Would that be right next to the swan pond?” I tease. It’s cute to see embarrassment flush her cheeks. “Hey,” I continue, mock-petting her cheek, “don’t feel self-conscious about living in a castle. Even though it’s, let’s just say, a hair’s breadth over the top for us commoners.”

“Don’t I know it,” she says. “So which side of the bed is mine?”

I consider, rubbing the light scruff that’s grown on my chin since yesterday. “Well, since you just touched the left corner, it now has cooties. You’ll have to sleep on the cooty-side.”

This girl, she’s been so immediate in her responses. I guess I expected a laugh or some expressed annoyance at my silly comment. Instead, she sinks down against the pillows on her side of the bed and breathes, “Okay,” with the smallest smile raising the corners of her lips.

She uses the arc of one foot to slide her shoe off before she skips off the other. I watch as she wiggles her toes graciously, green nail polish gleaming in the dim shine from the bedside lamp.

Helena is tired. I guess it’s been a long day, the flight being just a small part of her exhaustion. I’m drawn to her eyes, not for the first time. The color of them is almost watery. No, they are watery.

“Who gave you that color?” I blurt out.

“What?”

“Your eyes. It’s like they’re made of water.”

I’m not the impulsive kind, and yet I’ve already committed strange acts around this girl. Where I come from, women expect smart, premeditated interactions, never initiated by questions like the one I just shot at Helena. This they’d ignore. They’d change the subject into something not insane, or they’d titter and squirm, not knowing how to respond.

She lets her eyes float from her feet to my eyes before they still. “My father. I’ve got his eyes.” She laughs softly, hands around the remote for the TV. “Grandma used to say our eyes were the color of the swan pond because we were both born in rooms with windows overlooking it.”

Between studies, teaching, and advising, Sunniva has spent her entire adult life in a college environment. Most of her novels are new adult romance geared toward smart, passionate readers with a love for eclectic language and engaging their brain as well as their heart while reading.

Born in the Land of the Midnight Sun, the author spent her early twenties making the world her playground. Southern Europe: Spain, Italy, Greece–Argentina: Buenos Aires, in particular. The United States finally kept her interest, and after half a decade in Los Angeles, she now lounges in the beautiful city of Savannah.

New Release! 5 Stars for All or Nothing by Hazel Jacobs

Title: All or Nothing
Series: Black Lilith #2
Author: Hazel Jacobs
Genre: Contemporary Romance
 Release Date: September 29, 2016

Blurb
Sersha Walsh is a gifted lyricist. She learned her craft on her mam’s knee back in Galway, Ireland. After years as a successful freelancer she’s ready to take on her first big client—Black Lilith—the rock band making waves around the world. But the band’s bass player and current lyricist, Tommy, is less than thrilled to hear that the production company has hired Sersha. He’s moody and distant, but there’s a haunted look in his eyes that has Sersha dithering between wanting to kill him or kiss him.

Living out of a suitcase in the heart of Manhattan may sound romantic, but it’s the sort of thing that can drain a girl, even one as bubbly as Sersha. Thankfully, Black Lilith’s manager, Mikayla, seems determined to make Sersha feel at home. All the while, Sersha and Tommy grow closer, weaving poetry into music and sharing flirtatious looks over his battered notebook.

Just when things seem to be looking up, a ghost from Tommy’s past surfaces, threatening to tear down the careful equilibrium that Black Lilith has built. Sersha will need to decide who to believe and who to trust when the time comes.

My Review:
5/5 Stars!
I LOVE Tommy! Ok, people! I knew when reading book one that Tommy was different and I knew his book was coming. I have been dying to read Tommy’s story and man was it worth the wait! I can’t believe I’m going to type this, but I think this was even better than book 1!

Tommy is vulnerable and brooding and sexy and holy cow is he HOT in the bedroom! Sersha is sassy and snarky and does not take crap from anyone. When she and Tommy first met, I was like woah! When they started coming around, I was like double woah! When they had sex for the first time, I was glad I was alone. Tommy is a beast in the bedroom! It’s always the quiet ones. These two are so meant for each other it isn’t even funny. Except, it’s not a story without controversy and when the S*!T hit the fan I wanted to throw my iPad across the room.

Don’t worry. I didn’t do it! 🙂

The story is fantastic. A story of finding oneself and getting over the past. A story about finding real love.

New Release + giveaway! 5 Stars for Meeting the Unpredictable by Riann C. Miller

Title: Meeting the Unpredictable
Author: Riann C. Miller
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: September 29, 2016
Blurb
What happens when opposites attract?

Tyler has spent the last six years constructing his perfectly boring life, which is exactly the way he wants it. He spends his days hiding behind the protective walls he has so carefully built and has no intentions of changing . . . until he meets the unpredictable.

Lennie Jacobs is an intoxicating mess. She never stays anywhere long enough to form a solid relationship with anyone, including her family, because she has taught her fragile heart that love isn’t an option.

What started as a way to pass the time soon blossoms into something neither expected.

He was never meant to be permanent.

She can’t promise forever.

But, when life and love are on the line, everything changes.

My Review:
5/5 Stars!!
I loved this!

Unpredictable, fun and quirky Lennie burst into closed-off, all-business Tyler’s life like a tornado. No matter that he is annoyed and not particularly nice to her at first. Lennie just keeps on coming back. Eventually she wears him down. Except, he’s been burned in the past (and it’s a doozy) and Lennie is keeping a secret (and it is a big, life-altering secret). Eventually, their sort of friendship turns into no-strings-attached sex. Feelings develop, but there is so much standing in their way.

This is a beautiful story that I couldn’t put down! I loved Lennie and her quirkiness and as we get to know her better, her behavior makes so much more sense. Tyler is just so… I love a good alpha male in my books and Tyler is not alpha, not at all, but he is so much more and you will fall in love with him.

Please read this fantastic, heart-warming and emotional book. You won’t regret it!

Excerpt
“Why do you do this?”“Do what?”

I roll my eyes and gesture to the dog she’s walking.

She looks down at the dog then back at me. “How could I not is the better question. Being locked up in the same small space day in and day out . . . I know that seems like a normal day to you, but to most people, it’s enough to drive them crazy.”

My step falters when I hear her answer. No one outside of Chad calls me out on how little I leave our apartment. Even Chad is starting to give up.

“These dogs are more than likely going to die, anyway.” Lennie turns a sharp stare my direction. “The reason these dogs won’t get adopted is because everyone wants the cute, shiny puppy. Most people won’t stop to notice that these dogs have a lot to offer the world. People just need to open their eyes and take a chance.”

I’ve apparently ignited a fire.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you. My parents aren’t animal lovers so we never had a pet.”

Lennie tilts her head to the side. “Tyler, have you ever felt unconditional love?”

Her question causes my head to spin. I was in love once, only life didn’t work out how I pictured. The only thing I know for a fact is she didn’t unconditionally love me.

“Sure, my parents love me unconditionally,” I finally answer.

“What if you disagreed with them? If you told them you were gay or that you robbed a bank? That you killed someone? Would their love still be unconditional?”

I look her in the eyes, and I can tell she’s seriously questioning my answer. “I don’t know. I’d like to think they would.”

Her face softens. “Humans come with strings. They always have and they always will, but the love you get from an animal is truly unconditional.”
