sometimes, we need more than love—more than we can give.
Wow! I’m not going to lie. This is a HARD read. There isn’t anything sweet about this book. It is a down and dirty look at two people who should NOT be together.
Annie is a hot mess. She has so many issues. Then she meets Gray and… nope. He just makes it worse. Gray is a selfish PIA. I mean, really? Annie wasn’t enough for him. Ugh!
I finished because of the author’s note. If I had skipped over that, I would probably have quit about a third of the way in. I finished and this is a duet, so there is no resolution.
Suffice it to say, this a gritty read with messed up characters and a relationship that isn’t really a relationship. It is worth a read though. Stephie Walls keeps it consistent, honest, raw and gritty and for that I commend her and kept reading.
